After reading this tagline at Google video, I knew that this was a vid that just couldn’t be missed:

Corporate claim-jumpers in 2049 try to steal Zac’s asteroid. Super 8. 16 minutes. 1981. CineMagic/SVA award receipient. Titles and computer screens made with a pimped-out Apple //e. Read the magazine articles at the flickr site. Bloopers at the very end.

I have to admit that I didn’t think my attention span would allow me to survive the 16 minute length, but it turned out to be so completely riveting (think NO budget Barbarella) that I couldn’t stop watching. This video is a beauty, shows not only what kind of asteroid hunting we’ll be doing in about 40 years, but what we’ll be wearing when we do it. Buckle up and enjoy the ride.
